Common Questions

How much does it cost to join MRSC Rosters? MRSC Rosters is operated by the nonprofit Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington and is funded by the annual membership fees of participating public agencies and those contractor and consultants choosing the enhanced membership option. It is FREE for contractors and consultants to join, however there is an Enhanced Membership Option.

Public Agency Membership
Small Works Contractor Membership
Consultant Membership

MRSC Rosters is statewide but I do not see my city listed – why not? MRSC Rosters is an available service to all authorized public agencies; however it is their individual decision whether or not to use it. If you do not see a public agency listed, please contact them directly to inquire if they operate their own small works or consultant roster. View all participating public agencies.

How do participating public agencies use MRSC Rosters? Participating public agencies login to the database and search by service category. Their search generates a list of contractors and consultants who indicated that they are willing to work with that specific public agency, any public agency in that county or any public agency in Washington. This means it is important that contractors and consultants indicate all of the service categories they provide and select all of the participating public agencies they would like to work with otherwise they may not be found in a search. Public agencies then contact contractors and consultants directly usually through email.

Where are the jobs posted? Like any roster system, there are no job postings. Some participating public agencies may choose to post their jobs on Builders Exchange, however to access those documents you may need a password which the public agency will need to provide to you. The MRSC Rosters login is not the password.

How often will the public agencies I select contact me about jobs? Like any roster system, public agencies use a roster when they have service needs. Note that each individual public agency selection process may be different so if you have questions about their procedures please contact them directly. MRSC does not have any involvement in the bidding or selection process.
