What is a Consultant?

A consultant is a person or firm who meets the requirements below and provides professional consulting services, including architects, engineers, land surveyors and landscape architects who are covered by the legal notice and advertising requirements in Ch. 39.80 RCW, which allow for using a consultant roster process instead of advertising per project.

Minimum Qualifications

• WA Unified Business Identifier #
• Federal Tax ID#
• Professional Insurance
• Active Department of Revenue account
• Applicable Licenses (e.g. engineering)
• Statement of Qualifications (general)
